ALL BLACKS REDISCOVERING THEIR MOJO

You couldn’t help getting more than just a little bit excited about the All Blacks performance last Saturday in Auckland.

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING - SHANNON FRIZELL

Their performance in winning 35-20 against the reigning World champions, especially in the first half then again in the closing stages was outstanding and showed several key shifts from last year’s largely disappointing efforts.

More physicality from the forwards, varying the attack, the pace they played at and a clever kicking game, gone thankfully are the aimless box kicks gifting possession to the opposition.

A couple of key contestable positions were probably sorted out in that performance, namely Shannon Frizell and number six and Beauden Barrett at fullback, so good to see Barrett back to something like his best and this team performance will surely boost the players and coaches confidence.

Listen to our regular rugby analysis Greg Brimble and myself pick the bones out of that wonderful test in Auckland and please share our stories and give us your opinions.

John Alexander catches up with a former Queensland rugby league state of origin star Dan Stains and gets a very interesting insight into how rugby league was at the top in the 1980s-90s in an era where no-one took a back step if the biff broke out and many players worked other jobs.
